Course Components
Our training program consists of three essential stages:
STAGE 1
ADI Theory Exam
- The ADI theory test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Achieve a passing score of 85% or higher to move forward.
- Contact your instructor trainer for your instructor resources to access essential forms and kickstart your journey with the Road Safety Authority (RSA).
Once you’ve completed and submitted your application forms, our trainers will meet with you to discuss your stage 2 and 3 training.
STAGE 2
ADI Driving Test
- The Stage 2 ADI driving test closely resembles the standard learner's driving test in format and content.
- Expect a longer duration to demonstrate your advanced skills, including set manoeuvres.
- Showcase your proficiency by performing to a higher standard, setting you on the path to becoming an exceptional instructor.
STAGE 3
ADI Instructional Ability Test
- Stage 3 is your instructor ability test where you will be asked to conduct a lesson with a tester in the car with you.
- The examiner will watch how you teach and mark you accordingly on your ability. You must hit 16 core competencies to pass.
- Demonstrate your teaching skills by explaining lesson objectives, providing briefings when necessary, offering verbal support during the lesson, and addressing any driving faults.
- Your performance on the lesson will be assessed, marking your readiness to join the ranks of accomplished driving instructors.
